Mirror's Edge Prologue Has Been Recreated in Dying Light

The map is like looking into a mirror for EA's parkour game.

A part of Mirror's Edge has been recreated as a custom map for Dying Light. A modder has been working on the prologue to EA's first-person parkour game, and it's looking pretty good so far.

Using Dying Light's resources, modder Elimina is currently in the pre-alpha stage of their work on the Mirror's Edge prologue map (via Kotaku). According to the modder, it's an exact 1:1 scale version of the original map. Elimina has also recreated the Monteriggioni from Assassin's Creed II in Dying Light, but recently took it down to work on a fix for sun directions.

However, the modder is currently taking a break from working on their creations.

"As time goes on, I am torn that I am not able to finish my maps right now, but I also don't have the time to finish them at the moment," said Elimina. "I'm sorry that I am releasing unfinished maps, but I just didn't want my work to go to waste."

Elimina isn't the only person creating video game-inspired levels within Dying Light. Modder wojciech.dziuk created a Metro 2033-inspired level for Techland's zombie romp.

I still believe that Dying Light was the first game to get parkour right, and apparently the added even more moves to their enhanced edition.

@ps3gamer1234: The original had static levels so they could bake in global illumination lighting. Dying light has dynamic environments so that isn't possible. So it's not really better graphics, just different.
