Mirror's Edge TV Show Rights Picked up By "Biggest Loser" Company

Faith is running to the small screen.

Deadline reports that The Biggest Loser and Master Chef production company Endemol Shine North America has acquired the rights to make a Mirror's Edge scripted TV show.

There is no word yet on who would play main character Faith Connors, if she is indeed the star of the show. Whatever the case, Endemol said the Mirror's Edge brand has mass appeal.

"We clearly see Mirror's Edge as a franchise for the global TV audience," studio president Sharon Hall said. "It has a strong female protagonist, a wildly rabid fan base, and a worldwide brand that Electronic Arts and EA DICE have done an amazing job establishing."

This isn't the first time we've heard about a TV show based on an EA game. In 2012, it was reported that Fox was making a Battlefield: Bad Company TV show, though that never came to fruition. Earlier this year, there was talk about a Titanfall TV show.

GameSpot has followed up with EA in an attempt to get more details on the Mirror's Edge TV show.

The first Mirror's Edge game came out in 2008. The free-running game was generally well-received, and a sequel, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, is scheduled to launch on June 7.
