Respawn Entertainment will not make mod tools available for the PC version of Titanfall, at least not at launch, cofounder Vince Zampella has confirmed on Twitter.
"Not at launch for sure," Zampella told a fan who asked about the possibility of the mod/mapping tools being available on PC. "Will have to evaluate after launch."
Titanfall, created by numerous former Call of Duty developers, launches on March 11, 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The game is never coming to PlayStation or Nintendo platforms, but sequels could. Respawn is "definitely" thinking about a beta for Titanfall, though details are not available.
Respawn recently confirmed that Titanfall is distancing itself from popular FPS tropes by making quick- and no-scoping ineffective. "Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it's a pretty different animal than you'll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter," Respawn said.
