Monthly NPD console game sales chart: November 2003
Mario Kart races to the front of the pack, followed by Medal of Honor and Final Fantasy X-2.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! was the console game most November game buyers drove away with, according to figures released by NPD. While no doubt buoyed by the reduced-priced console's brisk sales, the racing game was the sole GameCube title to crack the top 10. The only other Nintendo game on the chart was Game Boy Advance platformer Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3.
Just one Xbox title--the Grand Theft Auto Double Pack--made the November bestseller list. All the rest were PlayStation 2 titles, with new entries dominant. Proving mediocre reviews don't mean mediocre sales, Medal of Honor Rising Sun came in second, with Final Fantasy X-2 right behind it. SOCOM II: Navy Seals came in fifth, followed by Need for Speed Underground and True Crime: The Streets of L.A. The two returning games were both sports tiles: Tony Hawk's Underground (seventh) and Madden NFL 2004 (10th). Top-selling console games for November, 2003: Rank / Title / Console / Publisher
