I'm excited to play Ryse as I never got around to picking it up. Darksiders was an awesome game, and Assassin's Creed revelations was pretty solid. It's just a shame I already have them, but I can't complain as this month's GwG setup is much better than PS Plus's free game lineup.

this game was unfairly underrated out the gate. I loved this game and it was probably the best looking game on either console at launch. Was it repetitive? its a hack & slash, but i thought the combat was pretty fun and looked great mixed with the great gory gameplay.

Seems like Ryse aged well. It was a 4 out of 10 game at xb1 launch, years ago, but nowadays its reviews are pretty high. Either the game was well patched or standards changed a lot since then...

@MigGui: Reviews after 4 years aren't really relevant anymore. You expect much less from a game that you get really cheaply(or free, in this case) and that is old, compared to a new triple A exclusive title that you pay $60 for.

Wow I was shocked when I booted up Ryse and started playing again. The game looks absolutely fantastic. Puts a lot of recent releases to shame in the looks department. And it's a pretty good game to boot. I'd definitely by the sequel were it to ever happen. Sold my ps4 for a Switch with Zelda BOTW. Haven't looked back not missing it or it's games 1 bit. It's all about Xbox and Switch. Ps4 comes in at a well deserved 3rd place. ?✌️

@gamerbum: Ryse always looked great, the problem with it is that alongside those looks you have a really dull narrative packed with very simple and shallow gameplay. That's why it was so bashed back in the day too, not for the looks, the looks are damn great.

PS: I could never understand how someone can sell his PS4 at times like this, with the line-up of exclusives PS4 is putting out, you have to dislike a lot of game genres in order to not find a few titles that interest you...

@gamerbum:

I too now focus more on MS store than others (including steam) because of the official forwards (and backwards) compatibility announcement. I even re-bought some of the games (during sales).

I carry surface pro 4 (sometimes Alienware) and new Xbox one wireless controller with me all the time. If I really like the game and wants to continue my progress outside (e.g. coffee shop, on train, on flight, etc), even if the game are not a XPA title but only cloud sync... I buy it twice.

@gamerbum: to each their own. I play my ps4 substantially more than my xboxone. It's my go to for multiplatform titles and I tend to gravitate to the ps4 exclusives more. Besides sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break (which I liked but didn't love) I've been kinda disappointed with the Xboxone exclusives.

@aladan53: Sony chose a different route, that's why they're putting out one critically acclaimed exclusive after another while Xbox is consoling themselves with backwards compatibility/old/free games... each with their own startegy....

@sodapoppimpski: Didn't know Horizon, Gran Turismo, Detroit, Spider-Man, Hellblade, and Uncharted were jrpgs... And this is only 2017 lmao..

PS: you should give Nioh and Persona 5 a try even if you don't like jrpgs, proper stuff. ;)

Ryse is a very impressive game that could have been re-designed for 8k gaming standards for extreme testers.

For a 900p game it goes to show that resolution isn't everything at 4k, but would be jaw dropping gorgeous at 8k.

@davidswitch84:

I only have 1 exclusive on ps4, horizon. I'm not a fan of anything and I don't care about sequels. I can totally skip 2, 3 and start playing 4.

Persona, etc to me... will only try it if it's a 1000, 2000yen title. there's man power, hard work and contents... but ps1 era programming concept... (some) indies in the west these days does better job imo.

@peterhorner1867: Forza Horizon and its lush environments is the only thing they do good. If you want a silmulation you're still going to go Gran Turismo, by far...

@livedreamplay: so far no Gran Turismo games on ps4. I too think it will be a better game than forza. I hope at least.

If only it was on Scorpio at 4k 60fps. :(

Oh well the ps4 pro will do.

@neoistheone: As far as it's said, GT Sport will support native 4k and 60fps on PS4 Pro. Just like sports games (FIFA and PES are native 4k too), car games that are not open world aren't very demanding. So that's awesome.

@livedreamplay: oh yeah I did hear that. That's awesome but I also heard about the graphical sacrifices it will have to take in order to reach 4k 60fps.

Which I don't care. It'll looks smoother when I motion. That matter more to me than the clouds and rain,lighting effects , and car damage.

I can't wait to get Gt sport my number 2 most anticipated of the year right next to RDR2.
