Mortal Kombat X Dev Considered Terminator and Michael Myers as DLC Characters
But it was not meant to be.
Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon has revealed new information about characters considered for Mortal Kombat X DLC that ultimately didn't end up working out. Speaking with IGN, Boon said the studio considered a "whole bunch of names," including The Terminator and Michael Myers from Halloween.

"For various reasons--whether it wasn't a match, or we just couldn't come to terms with it--they didn't happen," he said. "We're always exploring a lot more than we actually end up doing.
"For instance: Michael Meyers from the Halloween franchise," he added. "We talked about that at one point but it just never kind of panned out."
In a separate interview with Shacknews, Boon said it's unlikely that Mortal Kombat X will ever add any Batman characters or Wonder Woman.
"Mortal Kombat is a lot more of a brutal thing, picking up and going across the way to one side, but not the other side," he said. "I doubt we'll see Batman or any of those characters in a Mortal Kombat game."
Mortal Kombat X's DLC so far has been mostly centered around extra characters. Asked if the game might add story-based DLC some day, Boon said it hasn't been ruled out, but may not happen anytime soon.
"We've talked about it," Boon said. "It's a lot of data, a lot of content, but that's absolutely part of a long-term plan. People really tend to love our story modes, so to be able to give them new content is always something we're hoping to work out."
Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2 will include Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Xenomorph (Alien), Bo Rai Cho (drunken fist master) and Tri-Borg (combination of Cyrax, Sektor, and Robot Smoke). This expansion launches in 2016. Previously released Mortal Kombat X DLC characters have included Jason Voorhees, Predator, Tanya, and Tremor.
