MotoGP doing another lap on 360s

GP is good. But wear is MX vs ATV unleashed 2??????????????? I know he kinda hinted to not say anything. But thats a game that was so close to hitting on a good mix of arcade vs real motocross/supercross. Yet so far off also. And thats a good thing. It means they had quite a few things right. But with a lot of room for improvement. The game could be that much better. Some tracks were to easy. Some traks were just insane. Most were good. But the AI did not know some of the tracks at all, it was all over the place even on 125%. And yet others they were okish on. And presentation could have used a tad bit more. But thats the game that needs a sequel. On the Next gen, maybe a 12 rider gate or more. Although with bad AI, that could get a little nuts. And I did not like the fact that you could not move threw a series with one bad race. Should lose the points. That track should not open in free ride mode. And you should move on threw the series. And Adjustable AI would be cool for each rider. Since they dont want to make the top guys better to make it fair. Let us be able to adjust each individual AI. We could set Stewart at 140% and Reed at 125% and Whindum at 100%, so they would not feel the weight of having to themselves. But that MX vs ATV unleashed. And theirs a tun that can improve their. And that games time will come. I got a list 5 pages long for that game. But this is GP. And GP is actually one of my other favorite race games. A game with great online and a decent sim feel. Its a good game only to get better im sure. Plus its a lot easier to do turns and pavement compared to dirt and good timing sections on a video game. And agin this game is more sim than arcade, although THQ does not make these games to simed. To a point to wear their not playable. And that I like. But they sim it enough to wear it makes you understand what the sport is about. And get a feel that your racing this sport, not a mocked up arcade wild version of it. Should be interesting to see what they come up with here, and latter on Unleashed. More presentation would be fun thow. After all this is the next gen.

First of all, if your not a Motorcycle fan your probably not going to like any of the MotoGP games. Racing motorcycles (especially on a game system) is more difficult than car racing as there is much less allowance for errors. Usually a mistake will just make you crash. Secondly, the thing that most impressed me with MotoGP 06 (aside from the graphics of course) was the great online play. That's where the game really shines. I hope they add more features there, and fix the couple of frame rate spots. The reason why you think THQ is late with this game coming out is that the 07 season hasn't started yet. In fact they are coming out with the new season much earlier than I thought they would. In MotoGP some of the details (such as riders and sponsorships) are left until the last minute (for example the sponsor for Valentino Rossi and Yamaha still has not been announced even though the season begins in a couple of weeks!!) This information allows the game to be as accurate as possible so that's why I'm surprised they are releasing 07 as early as they are. This year is special as the new size of the motors is 800cc (it was 1000cc for the last few years). The bikes look different this year, have different sponsors, and have different riders (as they do every year). Anyway I'm looking forward to it, though I wish THQ would focus more on the MotoGP mode in the game and not the Extreme mode).

Riaz85: The only thing these games share is the MotoGP title and license with Climax leaning towards simulation and Namco leaning towards arcade. Sorry to disagree with you, but they are both arcade games, nothing like riding the real thing.

I downloaded the demo for 06 on XBL and when I played it I fell on about every third turn. The graphics looked good though.

I cant wait. I LOVE THIS SERIES. Ever since the first came out and then it was the first offical online game for XBL! of sorts. I cant wait!

I'm a bigger fan of THQ's games on PC right now. They've been moving really well on that platform and have some great studios making high-budget games. I can see this MotoGP game ported to Vista.

YAY I love 06. They have a lot to improve on but it was still awesome. Time consuming though....

Good news for Moto fans.. I, like someone else said below, am more of a casual racing game fan.. I so am waiting for a motorcycle game such as a new Road Rash :D

This one should be a lot better than 06 was, since 06 was rushed as hell, even the devs admitted it.

I just have to ask, why do people respond to these things with topics like "I don't want this" "Good for motogp fans" and other obvious stuff that says nothing. I mean even saying "I want it" is useless but at least shows your interest in a subject. Saying "I don't want this" is about as wasteful as it gets. (and this is not aimed at people talking about their feelings of playing old ones, just people who obviously are just trying to cheat the system to gain experience for levels?) Seriously go on message boards if you're so experience hungry and leave comments to people who want to discuss the ACTUAL game.

This is gonna be interesting. Judging by the pix which I am not sure if it's actual gameplay it looks great.

It's like any sports game, if you are part of the fanbase then you will buy it each year. I am not one of those gamers. I will buy a select few from each sport(eg i'm not going to buy 5 nba lives for my xbox). I doubt that i will get this. 06 is good enough for me

i just bought 06 couple weeks ago and it was fun for like a week then its kinda borin lol

so they will use almost all the texture/map and create something call motorGP 08 on ps3 like RR6/7 etc?

meh... another ok bike racing game for xbox. Not really a fan of being confined to a track for 20 laps.

It's tough, but the MotoGp series is high class stuff. Glad to see it's making another lap.

If it's realistic then I will probably enjoy it. I would obviously have to play a demo before I decided whether or not to buy it though.

The last addition was pretty hard for a casual gamer. I tried the demo and spent the entire time wiping out - If I had the patience it was a very pretty game to look at. For a game with motorcycle-racing I'm holding out hope for a new Road Rash.
