Following NBA 2K15's release last week for consoles and PC, 2K Sports today launched a mobile version of game, letting you bring the pro basketball title with you wherever you go.
The $8 "premium" game is available today for iOS and Amazon devices. The mobile version of NBA 2K15 was developed in-house at Visual Concepts (the same team that made the console and PC versions), and 2K is calling it a "completely reinvented" game.

Though the graphics might not be as good as they are on consoles and PC, 2K says NBA 2K15 for mobile devices will deliver the "most true-to-life NBA experience" ever made for mobile devices. The Pharrell Williams-curated soundtrack will appear in the mobile version, which also features a new "quick game" mode and a full MyCareer mode.
NBA 2K15 for mobile devices also features support for physical controllers. If you're sticking with the on-board virtual controller, you have three pre-set sizes to choose from, 2K said.
The game is available today for iOS devices, including iPhone 5+, iPad 4+, and iPad mini2+. The game will not run on earlier devices. NBA 2K is also compatible with various Amazon devices, such as Amazon Fire phone, Fire HDX 8.9", and Kindle Fire HDX tablets. The game is coming "soon" to Fire TV. There was no mention of a release for the game on regular Android devices.
Today's release of NBA 2K15 for mobile devices adds to the game's growing list of platforms, which already included Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
