NBA 2K21 Confirmed For PS5 With Stunning Graphics And Dramatically Faster Load Times
2K Sports announces NBA 2K21 for PS5 with a first gameplay trailer that is very impressive.
NBA 2K21 is coming to PlayStation 5, Sony announced during the PS5 reveal event on Thursday.
A trailer featuring New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson was shown, and it looked damn impressive. The video showcases "actual PS5 pre-alpha" footage, Sony said.
We see Williamson dribbling the ball and dunking, and some close-up shots demonstrate some truly impressive graphics. Or at least very sweaty graphics.
A follow-up video from 2K Sports demonstrates the dramatic improvement in load times for NBA 2K21 on next-gen consoles. The game loads in about a second, which is remarkable.
"For next-gen, NBA 2K21 will feature drastically improved load speeds, visual fidelity on an unmatched level, and an unrivaled breadth of content for basketball fans and players," 2K said in a press release. "Fans can expect new game features, game modes, brand partnerships, social events, in-game experiences and a brand new soundtrack that will set the record as the most definitive collection of music ever assembled in a video game. These updates and more will set the bar for sports simulation games when the game debuts this Fall."
NBA 2K21 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X in Fall 2020.
