Developer Ghost Games said the purpose of the closed beta is to help the studio "perform a number of technical tests that will help the team" get ready for launch. People who get into the beta will have to agree to an "agreement," the terms of which are available here.
Registration for the Need for Speed beta closes on Friday, September 25. Those chosen for the beta will be notified by email with instructions for how to start playing. "The space is limited so we may not be able to accept all players who register," Ghost Games warned.
Last month at Gamescom, EA released a new trailer for Need for Speed that highlights how it will blend gameplay with live-action. In other news, Ghost Games has explained why the new Need for Speed will require an Internet connection and says fans can expect a good amount of post-launch DLC. The developer has also released a new "five ways to play" video, which you can watch above.
Need for Speed launches November 3 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
