Netflix April 2016: Everything Coming and Going

This post was re-published today, April 1, now that the new programming has arrived.

Netflix has announced everything that's coming to and leaving the streaming service for April 2016.

In terms of new releases, April has some pretty excellent content coming. 1987 classic The Princess Bride, Clint Eastwood's Mystic River, and Stanley Kubrick movies A Clockwork Orange and 2001: A Space Odyssey all arrive on April 1. Also debuting on that day will be The Shawshank Redemption and V for Vendetta.

The second season of Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt comes out on April 15, while another Netflix program, Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping, premieres on April 22.

As for content that's leaving Netflix, now is your last chance to watch 101 Dalmations, Hook, and 2 Fast 2 Furious, as they all will go away on April 1. Other movies leaving in April include Mr. Bean's Holiday, (April 16), Lord of War (April 17), and Half Baked, which, funnily enough, leaves on April 20.
