The upcoming Netflix workplace comedy series Space Force stars Steve Carell as four-star general Mark R. Naird who is put in charge of the newly created Space Force, and joining Carell is the recently-announced Lisa Kudrow. [Update: The first Space Force trailer is here, giving us a sense of what to expect from Netflix's new series.]

Primarily known for her role as Phoebe Buffay on the hit sitcom Friends, Kudrow will play the role of Maggie Naird--the wife of Carell's Mark. A press release describes Maggie as a "Washington Air Force wife who has sublimated parts of herself to her husband's career for two decades. But as he takes on his biggest challenge, she is growing in a different direction."

In the series, the Naird family has to move to Colorado for Mark's new job, where he is tasked to get Americans to the moon again, so the country can achieve "total space dominance." Joining Carell and Kudrow are John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, and Don Lake.

The series is created by Carell and Greg Daniels (The Office), and Howard Klein (The Office) serves as executive producer. Back in January, Netflix released a teaser for the upcoming show, and you can watch it below.

Space Force premieres on May 29 on Netflix.
