New Assassin's Creed Teaser Image Shows Brass Knuckles, Dickens Quote
What do you make of this?
With less than a week to go before Ubisoft formally announces the next Assassin's Creed game on May 12, the publisher has updated the Assassin's Creed website with a teaser image for the project. The picture offers a number of teases about the game, featuring mysterious imagery and quotes.
Most prominently displayed in the image is a set of brass knuckles, which we also saw in the other Assassin's Creed teaser image released on Thursday. Inscribed on the melee weapon is the phrase "Strength Through Loyalty." The knuckles also feature the familiar Assassin logo in the middle.

There is also a message that reads "God Save The Queen," which lines up with the game's rumored British setting. Another line states, "We Forge The Chains We Wear In Life." This quote is from English author Charles Dickens' "The Cricket on the Hearth," which was originally published in the 1840s.
The teaser image also contains a reference to "Rooks," which may be related to the bird of the same name commonly found in northern Europe. You can also see an image of a bird.
According to a major leak last year, this year's Assassin's Creed game is called Assassin's Creed Victory and will be set in Victorian London. The game is in development at Ubisoft Quebec, and will reportedly be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Stay tuned to GameSpot next week for all the details on the new Assassin's Creed.
