New Battlefield 1942 details
EA releases some new details on one of its latest Xbox games.
Electronic Arts has announced that the Xbox version of Battlefield 1942 will be released this fall for the Xbox. In this World War II-themed first-person action game, players will be able to engage in combat at 16 battle sites from World War II--such as Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, and Wake Island--stretching over the four major theaters of war. Players will also be able to control up to 35 authentic Axis and Allied vehicles and select from five different character classes.
While multiplayer will be the focus of the PC version of Battlefield 1942, EA has yet to release any concrete information regarding the multiplayer modes in the Xbox version of the game. EA is expected to reveal information regarding the Xbox version's multiplayer features at the upcoming E3.
