New EA/Origin Access Game Out Now For Xbox One And PC

FIFA 17 is now available for EA/Origin Access members.

EA and Origin Access subscribers can now download football phenomenon FIFA 17 on Xbox One and PC. Subscribers can play the full version of the game for as long as their subscription remains active.

The title is not the first in the series to join the EA Access Vault: FIFA 14, FIFA 15, and 16 are also available for those who subscribe. We enjoyed the latest in the franchise when it launched in September 2016--critic Nathan Ditum awarded it a 9/10. Read his thoughts in our full FIFA 17 review.

Other big games in the Vault include Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Titanfall. For more, take a look at our complete rundown of all the EA/Origin Access free games.

In addition to free games, EA/Origin Access members can play some games (but not all) ahead of launch; most of the time, subscribers get a five-day headstart. Another benefit is that subscribers save 10% on all EA digital content, which knocks down the price of a $60 game to $54. The service costs $5/month or $30/year.

No version of EA Access is available on PlayStation 4. According to Sony, the service does not offer the kind of value PlayStation fans have come to expect. That being said, Sony maintains that it is open to having a dialogue with EA about how it might be able to bring EA Access to PS4 someday.

Ill tell ya-- EA Access for my XBox One is the best 30 bucks i spent this year. Ive gotten access to the latest EA sports franchises in mere months after their release, not to mention the Battlefield series, Mass Effect series, Dragon Age Origins and Inquisition, and a bunch more.

I hate to sound like a commercial but it has to be one of the best bargains in gaming.

I was a total Sony guy but my XBox is definitely worth it as EA Access proves.

More and more tempting. I'll bite when they combine both Xbox and PC service into one sub.

@NBKNAS: From what I understand, they are separate services. You would have to pay for both if you wanted both.

As far as these subscription services go EA Access is actually worth it if you like EA games.

It's only $29.99 a year. You get to play all EA games early In a 10 hour trial version, you actually download the games and play them and you get a discount if you choose to buy them.

For stuff like the sports games and Battlefront is worth it rather than shelling out the $60 for each title year after year.

They even mailed all the early adopters a free external hard drive as a token of appreciation.

EA gets a lot of deserved flack, but this is one of their better moves.

Sony means it would get in the way of their own service.
