Many Twitter users have left comments under the announcement, mainly asking why even bother launching the global version of the game at all if it's only going to be around for three months. The previously launched Japanese version of the game is also already set to shut down and will be closing its doors on March 31, 2024.
This mobile title is a rhythm game that utilizes nine-buttons and lets players bond with characters to unlock unique character interactions. The first Love Live School Idol Festival game launched in 2013 before being shut down in March 2023. Festival 2 Miracle Live launched in Japan shortly after in April 2023 but is now being shut down after less than a year.
This isn't the only mobile game being shut down this year. World of Demons was delisted earlier this month and Nier Reincarnation is shutting down in April.
