New Game of Thrones Season 7 Teaser Is Incredibly Brief, Shows Major Characters
Season 7 premieres in summer 2017.
HBO has released the first video footage for Game of Thrones' upcoming seventh season--but don't expect to see or learn much from it. The footage aired last night as part of a "Coming in 2017" sizzle reel attached to the newest episode of Westworld.
In the brief sequence, we see Jon Snow, Arya Stark, and Sansa. Jon appears to be talking to someone at Winterfell or Castle Black, while Arya is riding a horse. Sansa is in the Godswood at Winterfell, according to Collider. Here's the video, as captured off a TV by Twitter user @sansaerysnow.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is expected to premiere in summer 2017, which is slightly later than all previous ones, which debuted in March and April. HBO has yet to release any official promos for the new season, while plot details are under wraps as well. The first teaser was released at Comic-Con in July.
Season 7 is the penultimate one for Game of Thrones, as creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have talked about ending the show after Season 8.
Though Game of Thrones may end, HBO is currently discussing a spinoff.
"It's such a great world and it's such a great property, we'd be crazy not to at least explore the idea of some sort of prequel or whatever you want to call it," HBO programming boss Casey Bloys said. "So, we are thinking about it, talking about it, but nothing really of note to report just yet."
