New Gears of War 4 Gameplay Reveal Coming Soon

Gears of War 4's release is coming up soon. Now, Microsoft has announced it will hold a big livestream event for the highly anticipated Xbox One and PC game where it will show off new gameplay and more.

As the video explains, the livestream event will kick off on October 5, starting at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. Viewers will see "exclusive" gameplay and have a chance to win things. There will also be "special appearances and much more," Microsoft teased.

The event is called Gears of War 4 Live. It follows a similar event last year for Halo 5: Guardians, which was called Halo 5: Live.

Gears of War 4 is scheduled to come out on October 11 for Xbox One and PC. It's an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so you can buy it digitally and copy of the game for Windows 10 PC free or vice versa. If you pay $100 for the Ultimate Edition, you can start playing four days early, beginning October 7.

In other Gears of War 4 news, Microsoft has released the game's launch trailer and celebrated its "gold" status with cake, champagne, and a replica Lancer. Additionally, the game will be available to pre-load well ahead of its launch, according to developer The Coalition.
