The two-minute trailer depicts a four-man black-ops squad trekking across the world. The video is cut with a montage that outlines the breadth of locations the squad will cover, over deserts and hilly forests, across shallow swamps and atop an icy mountain range, through modest villages, over abandoned railways, and temporary construction sites.
A range of vehicles, such as jeeps, motorbikes, speed boats, and tanks, are depicted, along with one moment where the squad free-falls out of a helicopter.
The running theme of the trailer is the sacrifice, responsibility, and dedication placed on a black-ops squad, with a US marine voice-over stating, "We are strangers, far away from home," and later, "We are judges, deciding who will live, and who will die."
Alongside the trailer, Ubisoft announced the details of several special editions that will be available. Here's how they're described:
- Deluxe Edition ($70): Includes the Standard Edition and the digital Deluxe Pack which includes: the Huntsman rifle and motorbike, three emblems, three weapon camos, three character customization items, and an XP booster.
- Gold Edition ($100): Includes the Deluxe pack and Seasons Pass content, giving players access to two major expansions as well as exclusive digital content featuring equipment packs, an exclusive vehicle, and epic weapons.
- Collector’s Edition Standard ($120), Deluxe ($130), and Gold ($160): Includes the edition of your choice with a Santa Muerte figurine and collectible posters designed by Ken Taylor.
Those who preorder the game will also receive a bonus mission called The Peruvian Connection where players "embark on a perilous mission among the high mountains of Bolivia to break the alliance between Santa Blanca and the Peruvian Cartels."

Wildlands was unveiled at E3 2015 as the series' first-ever open-world game. It can be played solo or cooperatively with up to three other players. It's set in Bolivia in the near future, and Ubisoft even spent time with the Bolivian army doing research.
"As part of the Tom Clancy franchise, authenticity is one of the key pillars which will bring the Wildlands to life in our latest installment in the franchise," said creative director Eric Couzian in a press release. "Our goal has been to build the Ghosts as credible Spec Ops, so players have a range of options in facing not only the deadly cartels, but also the roughness of the multifaceted Bolivian landscape. Ghosts are survivors and hunters, they can blend in all sorts of environments, leaving no trace except in the heads of their terrified enemies. We want players to feel this power."
