New GTFO Trailer Clarifies Post-Launch Support

The cooperative shooter is expected to launch later this year on Steam.

After an E3 2018 brief reveal, indie studio 10 Chambers Collective has opened up about its upcoming Left 4 Dead-like cooperative shooter, GTFO. In a new trailer, the developers break down what you can expect when the game arrives on PC later this year.

The game will feature "a new game concept" in something called the Rundown, a series of alternating objectives given to you by the game's antagonistic force, the Warden. Every time you log into GTFO, the Rundown will display a timer at the top, indicating the time left to complete the missions before they're swapped with a new set of orders after updating. The Rundown is divided into Tiers with increased difficulty, meaning each expedition gets tougher the deeper into the underground complex you go. Every objective is "crafted to challenge [the] community in interesting ways," 10 Chambers said.

Each Rundown is different and, according to 10 Chambers, can feature expeditions that last "a week or two" or upwards of a couple of months. The Rundowns are "tailored to deliver a specific experience," 10 Chambers said.

Elsewhere in the trailer, the studio announced it intends to "support and expand upon GTFO for a long time." 10 Chambers also confirmed the game will not include "subscription fees, pay-to-win solutions, or loot boxes."

GTFO is expected to launch on Steam Early Access sometime this year. Though no release date has been provided, beta sign-ups are available now through the game's official website.
