New Halo 2 art on new Bungie.net

As part of its slowly building hype to Halo 2's release, Bungie today invited the world to check out its redesigned Web site. Though the site launched last Friday, it only began receiving attention today, thanks to its showcasing of a brand-new Halo 2 screenshot.

The shot is the third multiplayer image from the feverishly anticipated sci-fi shooter, and it shows several SPARTAN troopers double-fisting submachine guns. The devastating effect of these weapons and the Master Chief's new John Woo-ian shooting skills were displayed in last year's E3 preview.

Halo 2 is due out for the Xbox this fall, and GameSpot will have more details on the game as they become available.
