New Halo 5 Gamerpics Released for Xbox One, See Them Here

With the release of Halo 5: Guardians now just days away, Microsoft has added new gamerpics based on the sci-fi shooter to the Xbox One gamerpic gallery. Headlining the group are new images for Master Chief and Spartan Locke, the two central characters pitted against each other in Halo 5's story.

If you forgot how to change your gamerpic, here's how you do it, courtesy of Major Nelson: "Go to Settings, About Me, Customize profile, Change gamerpic (this may vary if you're a Preview Program member with the New Xbox One Experience)."

You can also do this online at Xbox.com. In addition to Master Chief and Locke, other members of Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris are represented, along with some enemies and even a Guardian.

The Halo 5 release date is set for October 27. In other news, Microsoft is holding a six-hour New Year's Eve-style countdown event on October 26 to celebrate the game's release. On top of that, you can now listen to the game's entire soundtrack, which goes on sale on October 30 across four different versions.

In addition, Halo franchise development director Frank O'Connor recently said a Halo 5 PC port wouldn't be too difficult and has a good chance of happening.
