New Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Trailer Delivers Maximum Dinosaur Mayhem
The park is gone.
The new trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is here. The sequel to 2015's hugely successful Jurassic World hits theaters in June, and this latest promo follows the first teaser that was revealed back in February. There is also a new poster which you can see at the end of this story. The new trailer, which you can view above, lays out much of the storyline, so beware of potential spoilers!
It reveals that the rescue mission featured in the first trailer is merely a ruse to get the dinosaurs off the island and into the hands of some villainous corporate types, who plan to exploit them. But of course, the dinosaurs get loose and mayhem ensues. The moviestars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, and BD Wong, with Jeff Goldblum reprising his role from the original Jurassic Park.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is directed by Spanish filmmaker J.A. Bayona, and co-written by Colin Trevorrow, who helmed the first movie. Last year, Trevorrow spoke about working with Bayona. "It is by far my favorite creative collaboration that I've ever been involved in," he said. "Bayona is a completely different kind of filmmaker and thinker than I am, yet we do have a lot of things in common. I was able to craft something specifically for another filmmaker that I admire. I built a Spanish horror thriller with dinosaurs in it that I probably wouldn't have built for myself."
Even though Fallen Kingdom doesn't hit theaters until June 22, the release date for the third movie has already been announced. In February, it was confirmed that it will arrive on June 11, 2021. It has also been announced that Trevorrow will return to direct it. This is Trevorrow's first movie since he was fired from Star Wars Episode IX last year.
