New Look: American Arcade

TOKYO - We take a look at the first pinball game for the PlayStation2 and deliver some impressions.

TOKYO - American Arcade looks frightfully realistic at times. When the camera remains static, showing only the pinball table, you'd swear it was a picture on your TV screen. Everything is perfectly crisp and clear - an image that just hasn't been available on console platforms before the 128-bit generation.

The game is pretty straightforward: You play pinball. The table we played was pretty basic, but there are likely plenty others that you can progress to. While it's not the most exciting game ever, American Arcade should please gamers looking for something different from the multitude of fighting and racing games hitting the PS2.
