New Midtown Madness 2 Shots
We take Microsoft's city racer for another test drive.
Microsoft sent over the latest build of Midtown Madness 2, and it looks like development is speeding along nicely. The most obvious addition to this build of Midtown Madness 2, other than added environmental detail, is the sound. Before the start of each race an announcer will give a brief description of what kind of race you're in; pedestrians scream at you if you attempt to run them over; and other drivers launch into a tirade when you crash into their cars. The environments have been improved with many buildings sporting a much cleaner look, and it appears that the viewing distance has been improved so that major objects, like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, are viewable from farther away.
Midtown Madness 2 is due out in October.
