Why can't WoW ans Guild wars just live in harmony?

I still find it weird that you can't get a copy of GW2 now. I think they are waiting for MOP to launch and it's effect on their pop. It has nothing to do with keeping players happy and lag. It's all about $$ and they don't want 15 servers sitting empty. I'm placing bets right now that around Sep 23 digital copies of GW2 will become available.

This is true, wow is a great game regardless which races/classes they put in. The fact that they still update it and constantly work on new IDEA by adding content is amazing, considering the fact that it has been 8 years released on november 24th =)

GW2 is also a great game, but again it was just released and lets see what it will offer us in the next 7 years.

I was just explaining that all these stupid things you're posting (you included) are useless, everyone enjoy different games, where is the problem? it's funny how many wow haters are in world but most of them never had played Wow at all at least try game before qq and hate i tried Gw 2 beta , and had tried in my childhood gw 1 but stuck with wow nothing to be ashamed at all :)

As for mop we all know that players will buy minimum 7 million so it's way more than gw 2 sells.

i know my replay may get some offensive replay or maybe not .. but i would like to say this wow topic .. for who interested in wow so it have no mean when ppl say gw2 forever or its better or not . this makes wow looks more stronger . cause the ppl who said gw2 is better shows an attention for wow which means wow still doing good . let wower enjoy their games and let gw2 gammers enjoy thier games

How many so called "wow killers" are come and gone and failed. I don't see Guild Wars 2 being able to overthrow WoW and become the number one MMO.

@Stiler @n0matter Actually, since Pandaria was announced, WoW fanboys have kinda taken a backseat to all the folks who've been openly making fun of it with the same jokes over and over again. Yes, it's a silly expansion, but the trolls have been behaving like small children who keep telling the same unfunny jokes, while laughing and running away.

I bought Guild Wars 2, and it's great. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. But it is not the "end-all-be-all" of MMOs. And I'm really amused at the polarizing one-sided stances people are displaying with that game, pretty much saying that since it came out, why bother playing anything else?

You know what's going to blow your mind? And a lot of people's minds in here? I'm playing GW2 (I don't plan on stopping anytime soon).... and I still occasionally play WoW. Yeah, worlds are about to collide folks! There's some CRAZY person who happens no like multiple games! I even plan on cramming Borderlands 2 in between! THE HORROR!

Hell, I remember getting funny looks from people back when I told them I owned a PS3 AND a 360, and still loved playing PC games.

Now, WoW is not the ultimate MMO out there either. That game hit its peak over three years ago, and it will never hit that mark ever again. It's aging, and everyone knows it. But because of these anti-WoW fanatics, NO ONE is allowed to like the game, even for nostalgic purposes. If you show any shred of mild enjoyment out of it, you're labeled as a sheep.

A huge reason why I support GW2 over WoW is that ArenaNet WANTS to promote a business model with no subscription fees. I don't see why anyone would want to pay 15$/month to play over having no fees at all. Blizzard is milking all its players and many seem to like it.

ArenaNet WANTS to deliver a high quality product and has invested 5 years in making it so. None of this annual business cycle like other mega-grossing franchises such as CoD. Sort of like CD Projekt Red (Witcher 1 & 2) who want to provide DLC-like content for free.

I don't see why gamers wouldn't be in favour of such philosophies and instead feel the need to defend companies that charge them a steady stream of money beyond the original purchase price to continue to play.

It would be nice if they concentrated on game content rather than lame gimmicks like these mounts, pokemon and pointless achievements. Instead we're stuck with another microscopic sized 5-level expansion. Three weeks of content to last us two years

What will they add next? Pigmen? rofl

Ahh, I remember those days when WoW was considered the crown jewel of MMO gaming. It's aging, and should probably stop after this expansion. But they were some good years.

I can't blame ACTIVISION and Blizzard for trying.
