"Every trade tells a story."

Sony has released a new trailer for No Man's Sky, showing off the third pillar of its gameplay: Trading. The video shows a player gathering resources, then selling them to upgrade and enhance items.

"Every trade tells a story," the trailer states. Presumably the stories are in the gathering of these exotic minerals and then using them to unlock or create unique items. Watch the video above.

Now Playing: No Man's Sky - Trade Trailer

This is the third video in the No Man's Sky "Guides to the Galaxy" series. The previous trailers were called "Fight" and "Explore." The fourth and final video will be about survival.

No Man's Sky has gone gold (meaning development is complete), and developer Hello Games recently revealed that the game takes up 6 GB of space on a disk.

After settling a legal battle with broadcasting company Sky, Hello Games has encountered another hurdle ahead of its release. A Dutch company that owns the patent to the so-called "Superformula" that enabled much of No Man's Sky's world-building has objected to its unapproved use in the game.

No Man's Sky is scheduled to launch for PS4 and PC on August 9 in North America, then on August 10 in Europe, and August 12 in the UK. It was originally scheduled to launch in June, but was delayed to August because some "key moments" needed more polish.
