White PS2? Lovely! I don't know why I sold my old PS2 before i played GOW, GOW II, Bully, Manhunt 2 and over 100 more PS2 games I'm still interested in.

i believe the PS2 will live on until somewere around 2064 in which it is wiped out by the great PS2 plague

That new lite red PSP looks nice. I traded my old PSP and its games in for some 360 games but i'm beginning to miss the little handheld beauty so I might get one at christmas again. :)

hey sound cool the new Sony psp lite is much better the load times have been shortened so a lot less waiting then the old one it about 25% liter the the old one witch really helps coz u know when ur playing a game on the old psp ur arms start to hurt i know mine did lol but yeh it worth getting i think

" If you play games that require precise d-pad movement (mainly fighting games), then definately worth it. The diagonals on the fat psp don't register very well. Fighters are unplayable. Even when I play PS1 games like FF7 on it, since I can't move diagonal, my movement looks very zigzaggy, which means you cover more ground, which means you run into more random encounters... On the slim, it moves like a dream. Btw, DS also has that problem. If you're using the dpad it's near impossible to do diagonals with that tiny dpad thing also.

I've got the old PSP, does anyone have the slim? Is it worth upgrading too? I really don't have a problem with the size. I find when I play my DS Lite my hand cramps cuz it's so small. The normal PSP seems like a good size for me.

Im with you Gh05tly I want a Ice Silver PSP slim really REALLY REALLY bad. Does anyone know if you can trade the old PSP for a new one at Gamestop.

I hate fanboys. I like console games and PC games the same. If Sony wants to make all sorts of different models then fine, more power to them. But, when people say 'not everyone is fortunate enough to own a PS3' or 'the PS3 is better than all the other games machines out' etc, it just shows how biased they are. I have a PC and all three seventh generation consoles. The game delays don't help and the Backwards compatibility withdrawal on the 40gb might have been a mistake, the PS2 does have a huge library of great games. But, I must say there isn't enough visible difference between DVD and Blueray for me to buy more things on Blueray disc. Maybe in a few years when it is better but not now when games can look great and fit on a DVD or two just fine.

They should have that Spider-man PSP bundle here in the States, the red and black looks cool together ...... as for the solid red they can keep that IMO. New model PS2 hmmmm! I see a holiday price drop coming PS2 for $99 golden. PS2 is a great system with a huge library of great game.

@Hector_01 look at GTA and its terrible graphic if they had more space they'll add a bundle of more stuff and possibly make them better

the ps2 might have been uneccasary unless it was a price drop. it won't move too many more units because of it. i think more colors would have been better:P

@Hector_01 - with blue ray disk i can store a bunch of movies and watch it all on my blue ray player ps3. movie file size = large. size does matter when it come to details ex old snake's mustache = one ai from metal gear from ps. look at resident 4, the environment pretty much background pasted picture. if they put resident evil 4 on a blue ray disk im pretty sure they can make the enviroment move. sure u can put great graphic on a dvd but how much can u put it in determine the size of the disk.

The new PS2 is coming to America, everyone knows it. As to the red PSP, it probably won't, because Sony hasn't figured out Nintendo's secret: Same system in multiple colors = same consumers buying the system multiple times.

Oh it's the same size? I know the power supply is built-in now, but I was still expecting something smaller.

I do not like that red on a PSP. I got a black and white skin on mine. Im happy with the one I got.

sony should start making multi color psp in NORTH AMERICA and not just Europe and japan. ok i have no complaint that it could be exclusive in japan, because they are the makers but iam quite sure the north american gaming market is not bad also. they could make a lot more $$ if they made stuff like that for us NA people. T^T

Blue Ray does not mean better games like other people are saying. I mean come. What kind of game is gonna take up 40 gig ffs. Crysis for the pc is THE most technical game ever made with super high res textures and what not and it takes up about 12 gig. Now tell me how the hell you are gonna use 40 gig on a game on the ps3. Unless the game has about 5 to 6 hours of pre rendered movie scenes in super high definition then i doubt you will ever see a game actually use up a 50 gig blue ray disc anytime soon. The ps3 is also the hardest console to make games on, not the easiest and this is why you are seeing so many games being delayed.

I still, STILL can't get my mind around the PSP not having a two analog stick standard. Granted, I felt the same way about the GBA not having four face buttons like the SNES, too.

I agree. I just bought a 60 gig so that I can play my old PS2 games without a problem. I am proud to be a Playstation fanboy.

I remember when the PS2 came out the PS1 dropped down to $99 almost immediately. It's been a year now since PS3 came out and they're still selling PS2's for over a hundred bucks?

I don't see why not giving the same models to everybody. And even in games, sometimes content is missed because of favoritism for specific zones.

Wow, the PS2 gets it third make over. I think Sony should really be concentrating on the PS3 now, but the red PSP does look quite nice indeed!

sony should probably be concentrating on increasing ps3 sales right now, but then again they need money since the ps3 is really hurting them right now, so either way its not looking too good for the ps3.

Sony should get smart and try releasing a lot of the PS1 games on PSN for play on the PS3/PSP, the maybe the PSP would be seeing a lot more gamers. I think a lot of people would get a PSP if suddenly FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX went onto PSN for play on the PS3/PSP.

The PS2 will always be rememberd by me as 'the console which cured my childhood boredom'. Sony REALLY wants everyone on the planet to own a ps2, i dont see why not for that price and a huge libary of cheap games.

space does make a difference though. Imagine when the games are ramping up and have full 1080p cut scenes and are devoloped in true HD (true HD textures.. and maybe expansive eviroments/maps) then space will become an issue. Look at the space difference between a older game like R6 rogue spear vs GRAW 2. Having more space to prevent bottlenecks is better

Hmmm, yeah, but then again the 360s already used their last (not final) Ace (card) and as promised it produced some strong sales of the machine - even in Japan! Looking into the future, a few titles here and there - probably. And that's about it. Oh and more FPSs (lot's of 'em). As for the Wii if nintendo did a sony and spent lavishly on R&D, even long after the release of a console/machine, they probably would have been able to add extra functionality and reduce the overall cost. Such as a HDMI port for HD output (upscaling i know the games are in SD) amongst other tweaks and improvements. I just love the different revision sony does, bettering on the last as well as reducing production costs!

i've never stated the wii is a better system or more fun than the ps3 or 360.. i'm talking about sales ...that's all that really matters... and i agree with spiderman3 and pirates....but again...it's just the sales that matters and the wii is leading.... " what would nintendo call it"... I'm sure they'll say' being the industry leader in sales is a nice feeling right now" and blah blah blah..... i'm not hating on any systems here...just looking at sales and how mistakes are costing Sony alot right now...like i said..." time will tell".

The wii is cute and all and can sell all the systems it wants to casual gamers, and be #1 in sales but that hardly makes it the most fun system. especially on a game site that is probably visited mostly by hardcore gamers. just because eminem can sell millions upon millions of albums in the first month of release doesn't make him the the greatest musician ever. Spider-man 3, and Pirates of the carribean aren't even good movies. see what I'm getting at?

wii26-Dude, Wii is just a casual selling machine and The PS3 has been out for a single year. The 360 is at that much because it's been out for 2 years! Apparently, PS3 is on a similar track pace to match the number of 360s sold in 2 years. ................................................................................................................................................................--- i know the history of all and i have all since launch... and call it what you want...wii is industry leader at 13 million .... what are you going to call it when the wii is at 20 million?.. " flash in the pan, just a fluke"?... call it what it is..." industry leader and number 1 !.... and at this pace...the ps3 will be third by next year..why?.... causse the 360 and the Wii are still going to sell also....what matters is the pace.... and having another ps2 on the market is pushing the consumer to other things.... how in the world can ps3 pass everyone with these obsticles?.... time will tell indeed

yes,,,Sony is trying but diverting your attention to other things besides ps3 is just a way to make money....not push the ps3... and you'll see in the long run how Sony exclusives take away that exclusivness,,, Ace Combat, and many more to follow..... this will hurt them in the long run...average parent makin low to middle income...goes shopping and see 399 ps3 or sees a new kinda ps2 and much cheaper price... my money is on the cheaper ps2 getting purchased and the parent telling their kid...maybe we'll get you the ps3 for your birthday or something...lol.... sony is trying to make money..so i understand these new products with a proven system..but the future is gonna hurt alot if they don't have exclusives....that makes or breaks a system!...and it's proven over time and time again... i love all systems and i hope to see a ps4 and such....but i really feel they should push the consumer towards the ps3 for it's future....not to the ps2 for the " now".
