New Resident Evil 7 Teaser Hints at Returning Character

Item box, shotgun, limited inventory space and VR. Better start saving up for a PS4 Pro + PSVR.

I'm not spending my time speculating on this because I'm not buying the game at launch. I refuse to support this $90 deluxe edition with additional story chapters. So the people that spend $60 don't get the full story? Go screw yourself Capcom

I played the demo on PSVR. It`s truly horrifying in VR.

Characters don't matter when the game is an FPS game because we cannot even see them so whats the use? Shove this FPS crap up ur ass CRAPCUM.

Tradition is gone. Devs spend millions on graphical asset development while relegating gameplay coding to interns. At least I hope that's the situation or things are even more dire than I suspect. Whatever. The upper echelon of the industry is catering to investors and executives (please, please, please let this be reality). The days of passionate developers delivering a quality product are gone I fear.

As much of an enjoyable novelty it might be to see a character or two return, I think they shouldn't do it if they want to do something fresh with the series. It just seems like a bit of a crutch. Be bold, Capcom! You can do it!

"The People Under The Stairs" movie is Resident Evil 7. Same house with puzzles, same family, hell even Marguerite acts in the movie with the same voice lol.

Oh man I hate first person everything. It doesn't make it more scary and you're stuck with the totally unrealistic lack of peripheral vision that makes playing games like this way more obnoxious than it needs to be. But yeah, I get it, VR.

I have a feeling this game will be short and only really good if you use a VR headset. This is the only game I want to play in VR, its the only major title released for VR. And I am not buying a PS4 and a VR headset + move controllers and cameras to play 1 game.

I don't think it's a returning character at all. How do you get that from the trailer?

As for the itembox, not a fan of the bland menu.

No characters from past Resident Evil games! That's what makes this installment seem so fresh. If you experience the game through someone who's never experienced RE before, it will seem more scary. Also Ada "surprise"appearances are played out at this point.

Please no chris. That guy ruined RE, makes resident evil 6 like a thrid person shooter.

I love the way that Capcom is barely showing us anything from the game because they don't want to spoil the whole thing for us before the game is released, something that is sadly rarely ever used the right way in marketing games nowadays.

And everytime I see something new from this game it just leaves me chomping at the bit for more! January can't get here fast enough!

the first trailer has a photo with the eyes scribbled out resembles rebecca chambers alot. and the new CG resident evil movie will have leon in it. so i assume that they both are in the game.

Nooooooooo. Sheva was the worst part of RE5. Her AI was terrible. She died every 2 seconds and I had to save her. So annoying.

Finally, they might be bringing back characters from the past! Not too happy they aren't using any other characters from past games like Chris, Leon, Rebbecca, Claire, etc. And also dont likr the fact they are going first person, its Resident Evil!
