New Super Mario Bros. 2 millionaires to be rewarded by Nintendo
Mario fans who have amassed more than one million coins in New Super Mario Bros. 2 eligible to redeem exclusive certificate.

Nintendo Australia is rewarding dedicated Mario fans for surpassing the total global count of five hundred billion coins. To celebrate the milestone, the publisher is rewarding each player who has collected one million coins with an exclusive New Super Mario Bros. 2 certificate.

To redeem this certificate, participants must submit a photo of themselves and their Nintendo 3DS screen showing the one million coin tally to the official website. Players who wish to collect more coins can download the Gold Classics Pack for Coin Rush Mode, which is free to download until January 31, after which it will be available to purchase.
Additionally, two final Coin Rush course packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 are also available for download. The Mystery Adventure Pack and the Impossible Pack feature labyrinth courses and tougher challenges respectively. Course packs can be purchased from the in-game shop menu in New Super Mario Bros. 2 on Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 was praised in GameSpot’s review for precise controls and nostalgic gameplay, but criticised for its level design. The game was released exclusively for the 3DS in 2012, selling 240,000 copies in its initial week of release in the United States.
