Only a few weeks after he announced his arrival on the set of Thor: Ragnarok, actor Mark Ruffalo has now finished work on the upcoming Marvel adventure. Ruffalo, who plays Hulk, posted an image on Instagram of director Taika Waititi and himself, taken on his "last day." Check it out below:

Ruffalo wrote: "'Waititi' and 'Ruffles' on the set of #Thor3 last day. Had such a great good fun time making this movie. Thanks @taikawaititi @chrishemsworth , @tessamaethompson @marvel for the love and the laughs."

It has been known for some time that Hulk will feature heavily in the third Thor movie. However, Ruffalo's limited time on set indicates that he won't be seen as his alter ego Bruce Banner nearly as much.

Earlier this year, Ruffalo revealed that the film would be a "buddy movie" between Hulk and Thor. "I feel like that's kind of where we're heading with this relationship between Thor and Banner," he told Empire. "It is a universal road movie. It's not where you'd think it will be, so it's not your classic road movie but it has that structure, I think."

Last month, images were released from the production that revealed the gladiator armor that Hulk will wear in the film. This has reinforced speculation that Thor: Ragnarok will take some inspiration from Planet Hulk, a comic book series in which Hulk battled monsters on an alien planet.

Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, while the impressive cast also includes the likes of Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, and Jeff Goldblum. Blanchett is known to be playing a villainous character, while Goldblum will portray immortal games-playing Grandmaster.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
