New Valkyria: Azure Revolution Screenshots Are Very Pretty
Get your first look at Sega's PS4 sequel.
Screenshots for the newly revealed Valkyria Chronicles sequel, Valkyria: Azure Revolution, have appeared online by way of Japanese gaming publication Famitsu.
The images, which you can see above, show off the game's highly-stylised visuals, as well as a few characters. As previously announced, Valkyria: Azure Revolution is set in a world where the Rus Empire has rapidly expanded thanks to an industrial revolution brought about by the discovery of a mineral called Ragnite.
The Empire's growth has brought it into conflict with Jutland, a small country fighting for "independence and freedom." The main protagonist is a commanding officer in the Judland Kingom's Anti-Valkyria Unit. Although this hasn't been confirmed, he is likely the character featured in the screenshot above.
Valkyria: Azure Revolution is being developed by Media Vision, which also worked on Valkyria Chronicles 3 for PSP. It is scheduled to launch in Japan in 2016. A demo will be included with Valkyria Chronicles Remaster, which will be available for PS4 on February 10 in Japan. The remaster will feature improved visuals, include DLC, and Trophy support.
