WHY PINK!?!? Seriously, black and white are the only colors that can be justified as neccessary for a handheld. Sure it's cool to have choices, but IMO pink does not deserve to stand alone on the menu. Why not purple? Or Lavendrer? Or how about Sea-blue? Honeslty, first a pink PS2, and now a pink DS. WTF?

Man I feel so educated now! I never realized I'd have to have enough money saved to buy the Wii. I thought maybe they were giving them out. Hmm. And damn, I thought Nintendo might take the oppurtunity to try to nab some of the market share in Europe by releasing the big news in Germany. Dumb of me. And, there's no way in hell that Nintendo might not know it's date or price specifications yet, that'd be impossible! So much insight in his post I think I'll have to read it 5-6 more times before I can fully grasp the complex ideas and concepts.

Ok, ppl i know many of us are dissapointed for nintendo not giving a price or a date for their new console, and that 2 new games might not stand up to the hype of the audience. But there is something we should try to have clear, Nintendo's main market is Japan and North America, so it has no point it leaves no hype to the japanese consumers if nintendo doesnt make an amazing show in TGS, i mean, if they had given the date and price, and maybe showed off some more new games (i bet they have some very special ones under their sleeve) then the TGS wouldnt be much of a *NEW* stuff show. We must understand the Liepzig is not as apopular as E3 or TGS, its like saying that Barcelona will play a normal SPanish League game with its best stars , and play the Champions League with just a secondary team. I mean millions more watch the Champions League. GEt what I say ? They must reserve the bst for the TGS, i know pricing and date is not much of an issue for the company, but it is at then end, cause even though we are dissapointed at the show they gave, we are still looking for the TGS, i bet TGS will rock, evenmore than E3, why ? Because come on ppl, Japan is a solid market for the Wii and every nintendo idea. Another point Nintendo wsnt to follow MS steps by releasing price and date at the same show. TGS is the show and i know we will be very impresses. All i want you guys to do, is look into urself, and see how much eager uve got, just to know when its coming out and its price...every one is goin mad lol.... For u guys to stay a bit more calmed, here is a tip, if u r really hyped for the Wii, save as much as u can but no more than 400usd, that for really hardore fans, with that money u get a Wii , two more controllers, 1 memory, and myabe 2 games (Wii sports might go off for 20usd if it does not come with the console) for less excited ppl save 350usd, u get the console , one more controller, one memory , one game. For ppl that just want the Wii as it is and want to try first, before putting loads of cash or depts into it, you should save 300usd, for the console itself and 1 game , or 1 memory and 1 game(wiisports , or other game that goes for a lower price cause they just show the use of the controller). But for anyone that wants the Wii, they shouldnt save less than 300usd. I personally believe that Wii sports will be incorporated with the console. Why? Cause in Wii sports u can have a pretty good idea of how using the console, and are no depth games. Am leaving out all kind of bundle options, cause that will depend paritculary on every store, thought Zelda will be in one for sure. All the values ive posted are at Wii costing 250usd, imagine it goes for less ???.... Just dont blame Nintendo for keeping the best for their home..... i mean come on guys did u really think they would give more importance to Liepzig GC than TGS??.

How underwhelming. I was expecting the Wii's secrets to be revealed. But NIntendo is famous for holding us in suspense and surprising us at the least likely times.

Or Golf for that matter? The Anwser is Wii Sports. They don't want to compete with their own product, but also show that they will be supplying more 'in depth' sports games, than the Wii Sport variety. If they add a Boxing game, then all should be set for launch. Golf Tennis Baseball Soccer Football (Madden).

Interesting news- i always thought battalion wars would be one of the first to benifit from the Wii mote, just makes too much sense. Also the online multiplayer and options are being implemented-something which was ommitted from the GC game(presumably for the sequel). Nice to see more games getting the Wii treatment. As to everyone complaining about price and date? you want to plan before you get the Wii? well save up $250 by November and you'll be sorted-bit of a no brainer guys geez.And the $250 will likely be with a game :D. I don't see why people want the wrong info that ahs already been elaborated on-it's the specifics that people should worry about like memory storage and compatability with external hardware. Which at the current estimated price is looking less and less likely.

i really loved batalion wars. the enhancment they are doing for the sequal sound great and much needed. especially the multiplayer. too bad i had to read about them on a different site.

why are people disappointed by the non-price announcements? Im certain Nintendo made it clear that they'd announce it as the lauunch gets closer around September (TGS timeframe) Wait for TGS. Leipzig isnt a big conference.

Guess they were actually telling the truth when they said that they were going to announce the price and release date in September. Maybe you guys should listen more often.

Disappointed. Man they need to stop messing around. They had a good chance to announce everything at E3 but held back. But i guess they did their job of generating excitement but come on, I want to know so I can plan accordingly. Now, I would not think they would announce at this event. TGS is where it will happen. Battalion Wars, meh.

This is the most disappointing thing I've heard in a while. Everyone thought they were going to say something like the price, launch date, something else about the Wii, but no. They said they were going to release 2 games. They better have more info.

Disapointing indeed, I can't believe no comment on the price. What's with the pink in Europe ?? Their must be allot of girl gamers there ? I have never heard of Super Mario Strikers but I'll look into that asap.

This whole game conferance was about getting the European media's attention. Hence why all the talk about how well the DS was doing especially in Germany, the new games coming out to Europe tons of them. Mentioning English Training, the people that are buying the DS especially how many females and people who have never played a video game before. Seriously people the LGC is about the European media a release date and price will come from the Nintendo of Japan execs when they speak. I wasn't expecting a price or release date to be confirmed at LGC. Notice how Sony is releasing things in pink? They see how succesfull the pink DS lite was in Japan and how many females Nintendo is getting and want a piece of the action. Thing is Sony is forgetting that Nintendo also has the software girls want. Europe getting pink for the DS lite also seems to imply the US will be getting pink DS lites as well. Also it should be noted that both Wii games disclosed have online multiplayer. Showing that Nintendo is serious about online gaming so you should ask why the third parties don't seem to be serious about online. Midway I am looking at you.

Can ya blame em for being so secretive? They're launching so close to the PS3, with Sony employees breathing heavily outside their windows already. It sucks that we wont have much time to save up, but that's how it goes and at least we know it wont be 'too' expensive. Battalion Wars 2 does sound interesting though, more so than the previous title definately. If they make it split screen multiplayer, I am SO there. :o

I can't wait for the Wii. Using the coolest looking controller ever to play games is going to rock!!!

yay another super mario sports game, what a new concept. Not really (yawn), give us a release date and price already, it's not take quantum physics to figure out this info.

This is really disaapointing....i was waiting for a release date so i could get really hyped up on Wii. But alas, all they tell me about is 2 mediocre games. O well, i guess its something.

After (admittedly desperate) speculation that more specific details - such as price or launch date - might be leaked here, this comes as somewhat of a downer. At least we get more games, though.

All I have to say is: GameSpot, you BETTER be at TGC inSeptember and stream us the Big N-conference LIVE or I'll... not like you as much anymore! :) Super Mario Strikers (or Mario Smash Football as we call it in Europe) is an awesone party game on the GCN, I'll definately pick it up for Wii.

People, just save up 250$ and if it ends up being less, you can afford an extra game or keep the 50$ for something else...As for release date, I'm starting to get mad.

It DOES matter when we know what the price is and when it is being released: some of us would like to be able to save up the money so we have enough when it comes out instead of just taking it all out without saving any. Sure, we know a price range, but some people may need exact numbers so they can begin to save. Either way, I've very disappointed we haven't learned any of that stuff. Sure, Battalion Wars seems cool, but I'd really like to know the price and release date already... this is ridiculous.
