New Wonder Woman Stamps Coming This Year to Celebrate 75th Anniversary, See Them Here

The US Postal Service is celebrating Wonder Woman's 75th anniversary with a new line of Forever stamps. The four stamps, which will be shown off at San Diego Comic-Con this week, follow her evolution from the World War II era to today.

Specifically, they show off her appearance in the Golden Age (1941–55), Silver Age (1956–72), Bronze Age (1973–86), and Modern Age (1987–present). Click through the images in the gallery below to see them all.

These aren't the first Wonder Woman stamps. In 2006, she appeared on a stamp as part of the Postal Service's campaign to celebrate major comic book superheroes. Others honored by the USPS included Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Hawkman, and Plastic Man.

Wonder Woman made her debut in October 1941 in the All Star Comics #8 issue, though she was not the focus of it. The next year, she got her own comic, while a TV show ran from 1975 to 1979 with Lynda Carter in the title role. Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, appeared in this year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, while she'll appear in Justice League and her own movie in 2017.

The new Wonder Woman stamps will officially enter circulation in October this year during New York Comic-Con. In other news about non-standard stamps, Star Trek is getting its own this year to celebrate the franchise's 50th anniversary.
