New World Order beta turns 2.0

Project Three releases a second public beta for its upcoming tactical shooter.

Comments

Project Three Interactive has released an updated version of its public beta test of New World Order. The updated beta includes the same map as the initial beta released in June, but it introduces new items, improvements to the weapons and balance, and bug fixes. The updated beta is a 123MB download, and it is available from the Project Three Web site. GameSpot Complete subscribers can also download the beta from the link below.

The beta requires players to install a minor update to DirectX 8.1 that Microsoft made to correct a networking issue that cropped up in connection with the game. Instructions on how to make the update can be found on the Project Three download page for the game.
