No thanks, Battlefield 3 became boring waaay to fast and the back to karkand DLC didn't extend the game's MP lifetime all that much for me. Untill they actully do something new and innovative i doubt I'll be picking up anymore BFs(I'd like to see something new and cool like Battlefield 2142)

Rentable servers? How much do these cost? I would like to know the prices for the DLC. While I like the idea of having dedicated servers, having to 'rent' them is insane. Imagine if CoD did something like that, the internet would self destruct. - Its gonna be funny to see the pricing on these dlc's, my guess is DEFINATELY CHEAPER than Cod's.

Close Quarters looks boring as hell XD Can't wait for Amoured Kill though.

Okay so "Close Quarters" means essentially it's a consolized map pack aimed at sn1pz0Rz so that Dice can redeem themselves because console online population is declining rapidly. Just about to lose all faith in Dice...it's pathetic. PC gamers keep the BF3 community alive, we're also the only ones still playing 1942, BF2, and BFBC2 consistently. No wonder people pirate games. I'm starting to seriously realize why.

close combat? ea stop trying to make BF into MW . large map with large groups and vehicles are the strengths of the brand , stick to doing that better !

well if my guns would reappear maybe i could start playing BF3 again. As of now though i am unable to play BF3 because of that bug. Def gonna sell my copy is this next update dosent fix it.

Ah man these expansion packs seem to be really good but I got rid of copy, ah well I'll get it again.

@ GamerLegend10 yes you have a slightly good point there but remember if your a xbox or pc owner, 1 week is a whole lot better than the one month wait that COD has with ps3 and pc users cause of there deal with xbox live

I miss a good innovative war game like Battlefield 1942 and the feeling of being in a real battlefield. MMOs nowadays are all about cloning what is selling well... and creating an addictive milestone system... and creating a feeling of incompleteness with additional content... Instead of playing for the fun of it, we are now playing mechanicaly, without emotion, to complete the objectives... I don't wonder why sales sink

It's too bad that the next patch is rendering the shotgun useless, and improving the kill power of the sniper rifles at close range. Doesn't make much sense for close quarter maps.

Still waiting on a patch, think you should prioritise fixing the game before releasing more stuff that you'll have to fix. Haven't even patched b2k glitches yet

Buying it on day one. Map packs in BF3 are actually worth the money. Best FPS since golden eye.

@dogman7 It was to anyone with a brain. I bought 360 version on release. I just bought the PC version over the weekend, and got it with B2K for $35 (and saw many copies that still offered it for the retail price).

@Reuwsaat: The days of free content are gone my friend, why would they give something for free when they can get some more money out of people.

I hope they are free of charge, the lack of maps in the original games made me stop for now (although the main reason I stopped was to craft a perfect Mass effect 2 save), and I'm not so sure about these "biggest maps", huge maps mostly means vehicle base-r4p3, and it's not so funny as usually there aren't more than 10 vehicles in the whole map, counting for both sides, and these maps feature 64 players. They really should make availble the co-pilot mode on the jets, it's a lottery to get one and it's just 2 at a time. I think they should focus on making it stable, another thing that was a pain was the DCs out of nowhere in the middle of the fun, that killed my desire for it real quick.

y does it take so long to get more maps. they could at least release new area layouts for existing maps

If there's someone I'd trust to give me additional content to a game, it would be DICE with Battlefield. Also, apparently Operation Firestorm/Caspian/Karkand aren't big enough to them. I'm ok with that.

Armored Kill? Yes please! This is the way to handle DLC, a while after release and these will greatly compliment the B2K maps well, I might be down for one or two of them.

Won't buy ANY of these (PC or console) until they fix what they broke on my PC version....continuous "Loading" screen between maps. Love the game but can't play it without frustration with that problem....a problem that did not exist until the Nov. 22 patch of last year.
