After an impressive showing at the Xbox Developer Direct on January 23, Koei Tecmo surprised fans by dropping Ninja Gaiden 2 Black the same day. Now, just a week later, the game is discounted on PC. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black lets you play as Ryu Hayabusa--a ninja who wields the legendary Dragon Sword. The core gameplay has remained the same over the past 15 years, meaning you'll still be treated to a fast-paced and bloody combat system. However, this new version benefits from improved visuals, stages, characters, and lighting effects from Unreal Engine 5 that create a more modern gaming experience.

Other additions to Ninja Gaiden 2 Black include new characters, new modes for beginners, and a reworked weapon upgrade system. In short, this is the best way to experience the game in 2025.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is more of an amalgamation of the two previous releases.
