Ninja Gaiden Trilogy For PS4 And Switch Listed By Retailer

A Ninja Gaiden collection could be heading to PS4 and Switch in 2021.

Game Source Entertainment, a prominent video game distributor in Hong Kong, recently hosted a listing for Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, coming to both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in March 2021. The listing has since been removed, but not before the internet captured the apparent mistake.

First spotted on Reddit, you can also reach a cached version of the Switch page which links to the PlayStation 4 listing under the "New Products" section of the sidebar. The product page notes that the bundle includes 2007's Ninja Gaiden Sigma, 2009's Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and 2012's Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. Aside from a March release window, the collection is also slated to cost $40 USD. Whether this is a remaster or a simple re-release remains to be seen.

There's no mention of an Xbox One version either, although Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3 are all playable on the console via backwards compatibility.

Publisher Tecmo Koei has yet to officially announce the trilogy, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see a reveal during the upcoming Tokyo Games Show, which kicks off on September 23.

I think it will come out to xbox and pc Aswell, the only disappointing things is that they added the way too easy sigma ports to the trilogy and as razors edge if you are a true NG fan then you know what to expect with that game or just ignore it completely. I still wish they bring back the Zelda inspired semi-open world of what NG1(2004) had and the crazy weaponry of NG2.

They need to truly remaster many of the classic games. I hope this is a full remaster though & not a stingy port.

Ninja Gaiden on PlayStation is like Metal Gear on Xbox.

@shadowwarr⁰ior4: not really because sigma games, ng3, and razors edge 10x more easier than the souls brand, but if it was Black, NG, and NG2 then you are talking souls level difficulty.

Plus the collection is coming over to the PS4 console as well.

It was bad, and i was shitting on it every time there's a new port. But lets not prentend they're even in the same dimension. Nintendo doesn't even remaster their games, sells em for full price like it was a brand new title release that year AND these games NEVER drop in price. What kind of horseshit is that? This is beyond EA and Activision or ripoff.

@hardwenzen: Nintendo wounded up porting the majority of Wii U titles to Switch because BC was impossible due to switching to Gamecards from optical media & going from AMD to Nvidia. Sony had done the same thing with porting PS3 games to PS4 due to the Cell Processor & with the Nvidia GPU. Both companies have charged full price for those games, too.
