Deadly Premonition 2 Announced For Switch, Original Creator Confirmed To Return
Announced during the Direct, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise continues Francis York Morgan's adventure.
Nintendo surprised announced the sequel to cult-favorite survival horror open-world game, Deadly Premonition. Titled Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise, it continues the adventures of protagonists Francis York Morgan "Zach" as the tackle another mystery.
Despite being a sequel in name, it appears the game actually takes place before the events of the original. Set in the year 2005, Deadly Premonition 2 sees York a small town in New Orleans called Le Carré. Not much gameplay was shown, but it appears that it's once again an open-world adventure where you can travel the world. Early footage showed driving a boat through a lake.
Subsequently, Deadly Premonition director Hidetaka Suehiro, also known as Swery65, confirmed he is returning to work on the game. He'll serve as both director and writer on Deadly Premonition 2.

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020. And yes, we're just as shocked as you are.
In addition, the first game is being released as Deadly Premonition Origins on Switch, and it's out right now. It's one of a number of games surprise-released during or right after the Nintendo Direct.
