Nintendo of America officially announced on Thursday that Pikachu Genki Dechhu is coming to the US. Previously revealed as coming to US shores by GameSpot News, Pikachu Genki Dechhu will carry the name Pikachu VRS when it reaches the US.

Pikachu VRS is similar to Sega's Seaman game, in which you talk and interact with a virtual Pikachu. Using a special microphone adapter that plugs into the Nintendo 64 controller, you're able to speak with a Pikachu that lives inside your Nintendo 64.

Pikachu VRS is expected to release in the US by the end of 2000. For complete details, including screens of the game and the microphone device it uses, check out our previous story linked on the right.
