Nintendo Beast Is Back Tour
Nintendo plans to travel the nation to show off its latest Nintendo 64 hit, Donkey Kong 64. Details inside.
Nintendo of America announced on Thursday that it will soon kick off the nationwide Beast Is Back tour to promote Donkey Kong 64. On the tour, a 34-foot truck equipped with 12 Nintendo 64 consoles will visit 15 US cities. On the list are San Francisco, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, Cleveland, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Austin, Albuquerque, San Diego, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Seattle.
"The Beast Is Back tour is just one of the many marketing initiatives supporting the launch of Donkey Kong 64. The size of the tour alone proves he's back - bigger and better than ever," said Peter Main, Nintendo's executive vice president of sales and marketing. "The anticipation surrounding this title is through the roof, which is why we're offering fans a chance to catch the beast early at key locales."
The Beast Is Back tour will let gamers play Donkey Kong 64 and win T-shirts, Donkey Kong music CDs, and games. More information on the tour can be found on Nintendo's Donkey Kong 64 site; a link can be found to the right.
