Nintendo comments on plans for the GC this year
Nintendo announces a number of Japanese release dates, including the release date for Mario Sunshine.
Nintendo has announced the release schedule for a number of its upcoming GameCube games. Of particular note, Mario Sunshine will be released on July 19 in Japan. This will be roughly a month ahead of the North American release, which is scheduled for August 26. In addition, the company emphasized that the upcoming games in the Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda, and Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble series are still scheduled for release this year in Japan. It also stated that Eternal Darkness and Star Fox Adventures are scheduled for a fall release in Japan. Nintendo expects to release between 12 and 13 titles in Japan during its 2002 fiscal year.
