Nintendo announcing Metroid: Samus return is awesome news, it's kind of a remake of the original NES Metroid game. I'm just kind of concerned here after what i've heard WHAT Tanabe said about Metroid 4 for SWITCH.

“Personally I’d like to create a story centering around Sylux and Samus. We’ve done a story based on the Hunters, and this time around we’re doing a story on the Galactic Federation. I would like to cross the two over in the future. And of course see a little more of Samus.”

First of all, Sylux while mysterious, is a lil bit overrated, i would love seeing an origin story for Samus and know a little bit more about the bird-like Aliens the Chozos. I think a story about how Samus came to be is more interesting and creative than go after a random Bounty hunter.

AND ONE MORE THING: The game's name is Metroid, for what?? Is it imply that all the adventures of Samus the bounty hunter will be related to those stupid Metroid all over the galaxy??

Anyone else having a problem watching the full Nintendo video from yesterday? When I tried last night to click on the link from the calendar page (https://www.gamespot.com/e3/schedule/) I kept getting pushed to the live feed of Phil Spencer. When I try now, I get a page with "Börk Börk Börk! Let’s meke-a pancakes." On it.

I liked it but I was hoping for the announcement of the date for the localized version of Monster Hunter XX, although I know is not pretty popular here :S.

It doesn't seem like a LOT until you consider that all of these games are due for THIS year... kinda glad they didn't go the Sony route of announcing games we won't see until 2020.

I was pretty disappointed by the Metroid Prime 4 announcement until they redeemed themselves by adding Samus Returns.

Looking at Super Mario Odyssey, I bet I could spend more time playing it than I have with Zelda: BotW. If that's possible.

The amiibo offerings are pretty neat, but too bad there will be no hope in getting them. You still can't get the BotW amiibo except on the secondary market. They need to up production, especially with GameStop downsizing their amiibo sections in the wake of the Animal Crossing failure.

Can i just remind you before you get excited... they annouced that they JUST STARTED development of metroid prime 4. We won't see it till 2020 or later.

Dont be excited about that. Thats stupid as hell. Announcing that they just started developing metroid and pokemon for the swtitch while the rest of the convention is showing upcoming games is nothing to brag about. Only shows how little they have to offer.

I'm anxious about the Amiibos now. I searched daily for those last Zelda ones and by the time they suddenly and without warning went up for sale, they were gone. Sell them or don't, but quit with the fake shortage crap.

i even forgot that they didn't announce Virtual Console yet on E3

I enjoy tig ol pixel bitties as much as the next nerd, but the heroine in XC2 looks extremely weirdly shaped. Almost like Monolift just updated Lara's character model from the first Tomb Raider; a stick with funbags. Won't stop me from buying the game, but still... they really went full anime on this one.

Every time I see an article that is "blank" game is not coming to switch, I just want to say that metroid, Zelda, Mario, xenoblade, etc... not coming PS4, X1, and pc.

And now that rocket league coming with skyrim, then my PS4 will be collecting dust for quite a while.

Very short presentation but, what they did show was pretty good. Metroid was all I wanted to hear. No Metroid, no buy is what I've been saying. Yeah it could be years off like they did with Zelda and it's not the side scroller I wanted but at least they are working on a Metroid! Super Mario Odyssey looks like a lot of fun too.
