Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Sold Out - Games & Accessories Available
It's unclear if Nintendo Switch 2 preorders will be restocked at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or GameStop ahead of the console's June 5 launch.
Nintendo Switch 2 preorders kicked off in the US this week at Walmart, Target, GameStop, and Best Buy. As expected, all four retailers struggled to handle the surge of customers attempting to add the Mario Kart World Bundle ($500) or standalone console ($450) to their carts. Even if you managed to get the console in your cart, completing the checkout process proved to be even more challenging at some retailers. At this time, preorders are sold out at major retailers, and it's unknown if and when retailers will restock Switch 2 preorders ahead of the highly anticipated console's June 5 release.
If you're still looking for a preorder, we will be tracking Switch 2 restocks in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime, you can start picking out which launch games and accessories you want to add to your collection. Preorders for Nintendo's first-party accessories and games opened this week, too. And while we're still waiting for a few game and peripheral preorders to open, there's plenty to pick from already. Some of the Switch 2 launch products are starting to sell out, too, so make sure to check out the full launch lineup while you can. We've rounded up all of the official Switch 2 products you can preorder below.
Some of the highlights include first-party Switch 2 games such as Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Tears of the Kingdom, and Breath of the Wild . A collection of official Switch 2 accessories, including the Switch 2 Pro Controller, official carrying case, Samsung microSD Express Cards, and extra Joy-Con 2 Controllers, are up for grabs and release the same day as the console. Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Console Bundle

Mario Kart World is the Nintendo Switch 2's marquee launch exclusive. If you want to play the next evolution in Nintendo's wildly popular racing series, you will need to upgrade to the Switch 2. And considering Mario Kart World on its own is priced at $80 in digital and physical formats, the $500 bundle will save you $30 compared to buying the console game individually.
The Mario Kart World Switch 2 Console Bundle will only be available in limited quantities through Fall 2025--though it could sell out sooner. Preorders have been going in and out of stock all night at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Preorders for the bundle will start at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET at GameStop.
Nintendo Switch 2 Console Preorders

If you aren't able to preorder the bundle with Mario Kart World, or simply don't care for Mario Kart, the standalone console might be slightly easier to secure at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. That said, just like the bundle, preorders were hard to secure at midnight. We'd recommend checking the store pages regularly, as we've seen each retailer switch from available to sold out numerous times over the past few hours.
GameStop will be taking Switch 2 preorders tomorrow morning, and the Nintendo Store is letting fans register for the chance to buy the console directly from Nintendo on May 8.

Nintendo Switch 2 Preorder at Walmart
Walmart Delivery Guarantee: If you preorder the Switch 2 online from Walmart, the retailer says it will be delivered by 9 AM local time on launch day. If you order online for pickup in store, check with your local retailer for store hours ahead of June 5.
Walmart is taking preorders on all of the first-party Nintendo Switch 2 accessories as well as a bunch of exclusive games and third-party titles releasing at launch and throughout the summer. As an added bonus, Walmart has listed some games and accessories for $1 below retail price, which accumulates if you buy numerous Switch 2 products.
Nintendo Switch 2 Controllers & Accessories at Walmart
The Nintendo Switch 2 will launch alongside an assortment of official accessories. Many first-party Switch 2 accessories received $5 price increases due to the ongoing tariff situation. The most notable accessory arriving on June 5 is the Switch 2 Pro Controller. It retains the general form factor and look of the original Pro Controller while adding a pair of remappable back buttons and the new C button that's found on the Joy-Con 2 Controllers. The C button can be used to pull up the GameChat feature, which is complemented by the official Switch 2 Camera for video chat. If you want to future-proof your console's storage capacity, you can preorder the officially licensed Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card to double your storage space out of the gate.

We've noted the release dates for the Nintendo Switch 2 games below after the price. This list only includes Switch 2 games that are available to preorder as of April 24. Nintendo's first-party games include Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and enhanced versions of four Switch hits, including Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. There are also numerous third-party exclusives, such as Bravely Default HD, Yakuza 0 Director's Cut (timed exclusive), and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S. Nintendo Switch 2 Amiibo Preorders at Walmart
All seven Amiibo figures listed below launch on June 5, the same day as the Switch 2 versions of Tears of the Kingdom and Street Fighter 6. And yes, the prices for Amiibo figures are extremely high now.

Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders at Amazon
Unfortunately, Amazon has yet to create a store page for the Nintendo Switch 2 or any first-party games and accessories. You can still find third-party Nintendo Switch 2 games and accessories at Amazon, but the US retailer is not expected to take preorders or even stock the console at launch. This isn't entirely unexpected, though. Amazon hasn't carried the vast majority of first-party Switch games, both new releases and past hits, since early last year.
You can still purchase select Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives at Amazon, but only games published by other companies. For instance, you can preorder Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Yakuza 0 Director's Cut, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S at Amazon. Multiplatform releases such as Madden NFL 26 and Raidou Remastered are also up for preorder at Amazon.

Nintendo Switch 2 Accessories at Amazon
Since the Switch 2 is compatible with many existing Switch accessories, you can still find some peripherals that will likely be among the best options for Switch 2. For instance, 8BitDo just launched the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller, which will work on the new console and has a bunch of customization features not found on Nintendo's official Switch 2 Pro Controller. For handheld mode, we'd expect GameSir's G8 Plus Bluetooth Mobile Controller to work with the Switch 2 at launch. This controller is similar to a Backbone One, except it's designed for tablets up to 8.5 inches wide.
Amazon may not have official Nintendo accessories for Switch 2, but it does carry officially licensed accessories manufactured by third parties, including Hori's Piranha Plant Camera.
