The Nintendo Switch eShop recently kicked off a massive "Try Before You Buy" sale, and it includes substantial savings on all sorts of games. True to its name, the sale focuses on games that offer free demos on Switch, with up to 80% savings on some titles.

The biggest savings on offer here are in the 70-80% range, and they're mostly indie games like Ape Out for $3.74, Automachef for $3, and Freedom Planet for $4.49. Ape Out is a top-down combat game in the vein of Hotline Miami, only with even more style and flair. Freedom Planet is a retro-style 2D platformer that started life as a Sonic the Hedgehog fangame.

There are also some big-name series on sale here, including the excellent Rayman Legends Definitive Edition for $10. Breath of the Wild fans might want to check out Immortals Fenyx Rising for $15. And the excellent Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series brings two of the best 2D platformers ever to modern consoles for $28.

However, there are also substantial reductions on 30% on first-party Nintendo games, including ARMS for $42, WarioWare: Get It Together! for $35, and Yoshi's Crafted World for $42. The best overall deal here is probably Metroid Dread for $42, as that kind of core Nintendo exclusive almost never goes on sale. The full list of games is below.
