"While we're always looking for new ways to expand the Halo universe, we do not currently have any plans to release future campaign content for Halo 5: Guardians," Holmes said, speaking to Red Bull.

Halo 5 launched on October 27.

In GameSpot's Halo 5 review, the fifth mainline entry in the series earned an 8/10 score.

"In some ways, Halo 5 is the boldest Halo yet," said reviewer Mike Mahardy. "The franchise's multiplayer is at its peak, with a mode I'm sure I'll return to several times over.

"But then there's the campaign, which introduces fluid new movement and open level design, yet can't tell a coherent story to match. There are signs of a phenomenal shooter here, but certain narrative aspects feel underdeveloped, holding the franchise's newest sequel back from true excellence."
