No new Unreal Tournament planned for UE4, Epic says.

I tweeted Epic Games. If there not going to to work on a new unreal. Rename the damn engine. jeez I don't know name it gears of war engine then. Also give the Unreal/UT Intellectual Property (game license) to some one else to developed and make for us Unreal fans.

Isn't the Unreal Tournament franchise the benchmark for their engines? :x

Man this sucks for me. I loved Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3, and was really looking forward to 4. I really hope they get this out by the time I'm ready to get a PS4.

No need to make a new game, just remake ut2004 on the new engine. its all the people want. I've always seen UT as your show case for your engines :/

Maybe they will allow the community to remake the game FOR them ???

Shame, Unreal III was a real treat & the first good console port of the PC version (PS3) using mods and keyboard/ mouse control.

we need a throwback to the classic fast paced arena multiplayer, UT2k4 was just AMAZING. i want that done in UnrealEngine 4. Thats all we want, we will be happy with that.

UT3 flopped because instead of expanding on UT2k4, it reduced "gameplay" in just about every aspect of the game. Then Epic and Cliffy got all butthurt about it and accused PC gamers of being pirates and became a console game developer.

The changes they introduced to UT3 made ME, a casual gamer, flinch. I can only imagine how floored the actual FPS veterans were.

A game similar to UT can exist, but a developer like Epic is no longer capable of making it. I wouldn't be surprised if an indie dev is making something close, but it still needs to be discovered.

Epic you just lost all the respect by saying that you have no intentions to do anything Unreal.

No unreal game for UE4, I guess its ok, but instead of that give us a game that will prove to be more enjoyable. You are free to pick the genre, just don't mess it up.

Well this blows. UT used to be my favourite game franchise, but it's been soooooo long since we had a new game that it's slipped in the rankings.

They'd rather nickel and dime everyone for their engine, I assume.
