Nvidia Announcing "Latest Innovations In Gaming" Next Week During CES
The event will be streamed during CES, with GeForce gaming and graphics improvements as the focus.
With the annual Consumer Electronics Show kicking off next week on January 11, Nvidia is using the week to show off some new GeForce products and improvements during its own livesteam on January 12.
The GeForce RTX: Game On event will be hosted by Jeff Fisher, senior vice-president of GeForce, at 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST, streaming live on YouTube and Twitch. No additional information about the event was shared by Nvidia, outside of the description telling viewers to look forward to "the latest innovations in gaming and graphics."

Given that the event is being hosted by Fisher and not Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, there's a possibility that it will focus solely on new software coming to GeForce graphics cards instead of new hardware. There have been numerous reports of Nvidia preparing a RTX 3080 Ti already with a big boost to its VRAM, but given the company's pattern of launching products shortly after announcement it might be too early for that to hit shelves in the midst of an ongoing shortage of regular RTX 3080 and 3090 supply.
Nvidia has a suite of proprietary software tools powered by its hardware, including hardware-based ray tracing and DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). The latter is arguably the most important feature supported by Nvidia currently, letting players get much better performance in demanding games without a discernable difference to image quality. It's also a selling point that AMD still has no answer for currently.
Nvidia recently launch the RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090, followed shortly by the RTX 3060 Ti in late December.
