Just last week, SKT K had their first competitive loss after six months of dominating the Korean scene. Losing to their sister team, SKT S, shows that it is possible to take down the team universally considered as the best in the word. But it’s far fetched to think that after one loss, SKT will be defeated by OGN newcomers Prime Optimus. If SKT K would lose this match, it would be one of the biggest upsets in recent months.
Prime struggled in their debut match versus the KT Rollster Arrows and weren’t able to make it out of the laning phase. In addition to strange picks, like Rengar in the top lane, Prime Optimus weren’t even on the same level as KTA. In game two, KTA slowly strangled Prime into submission as they out rotated them and had uncontested objective control.
Group B - IM #2 vs MIDAS FIO

This match could very easily swing either way. Incredible Miracle has managed to sneak into the OGN yet again this season, despite never putting up impressive results in the team’s history. But they were able to put up a fight versus CJ Blaze, until a teamfight at the 50 minute mark let Blaze run away with what was a close game throughout. Their second game versus Blaze was much more one sided, as Daydream’s Kha Zix was unstoppable.
MIDAS FIO also had a 0:2 start to this season of champions, losing to CJ Frost. It was a decisive victory for Frost, they simply outclassed FIO. In game one versus Frost, SSUN struggled in the jungle, allowing the experienced lanes of CJ Frost to take unpunished risks. In game two, MIDAS’s failure to shut down Coco’s Kassadin was their ultimate downfall. Even with the backing of Woong as the team’s coach, it’s unlikely MIDAS will make it past the group stages.
