The OGN quarterfinals saw former Korean kings being dethroned, with some familiar faces rising to the top.
Samsung Galaxy Ozone 3 - SK Telecom 1
This series solidified Ozone’s spot as the best team in the world. Their decisive laning and strong team play was simply too much for the struggling SKT K. Now, they will face off versus their sister team, Blue, in the semi finals.
Samsung Galaxy Blue 3 - CJ Frost 1
Frost has been struggling for quite some time, and it seems that they haven’t recovered from the rotation door of midlanders just yet. Blue is showing some promise, but it’s unlikely that they will be able to take down their sister team in the next round.
CJ Blaze 3 - KT Arrows 1
Arrows looked as if they were about to storm the top of the world rankings after defeating SKT T1 K 2:0 in the group stage, but they fell short in the quarterfinal. The consistency of Blaze is almost unmatched and they look to be a strong contender to take down Najin White Shield.
Najin White Shield 3 - KT Bullets 2
KT has fallen from their top two Korean spot after making some roster changes in the jungle across organizations. Now, Najin White shield has taken the precedent over sword, making major strides this season.
